One of my friends gave me a bag of hand-me-down clothes and Hannah found this cute Care Bear costume. She loved it and of course insisted on wearing it all morning (with her fancy black dress shoes). She’s a crack up.

Okay so yesterday was Eli’s baby shower (2/20). My sister in law Jen hosted it and did a wonderful job. Everything was so cute and the food was very yummy! Several of my friends joined us for the celebration and we had a great time. Unfortunately…I was having so much fun that I, and everyone else forgot to take pictures!!! So…I literally have like 5 pictures. Poor Eli (I guess he’s already fitting into 2nd child syndrome!) By kid 3, people are asking “did anyone even bring a camera?”. Oh well. I promise to take lots of pictures when he’s born! With all that said…it was a great day and we received many lovely gifts for our little guy!
My Beautiful Cake!
The Cousins “In Utero”. Jen is obviously four months behind me!
Me (8 months)…looking & feeling VERY pregnant.
I can’t wait to meet you Eli!!!!
What is winter with out a bout of some sort of illness? For Hannah she likes to lay around on the couch or kitchen floor when she is not feeling well. ..yes the kitchen floor. And no…I didn’t put her on the floor…she likes to lay there and cover herself with her blankie and bear…but honestly who hasn’t at one time or another felt that yucky? Poor baby. Emma of course is always beside her checking to make sure she is okay. But don’t worry…after a little lovin’ (and the occasional trip to the ER) our little girl has fully recovered and bounced back to her normal self!

The Christmas season was full of fun and family. We spent the month shopping & baking, visiting the Colorado Symphony, Denver Zoo lights…and of course family and friends. It was a blessed time to celebrate baby Jesus’ birth! And Hannah of course loved getting dressed up in her red dress and black shiny shoes. We of course missed all of our out of state family though!

Shopping days…

Singing with the carolers at the mall.

The Christmas Symphony downtown…a real date night!

Zoo Lights at the Denver Zoo…it was freezing, but fun!

Hanging out with the cousins on Christmas day!

Hannah’s new nursery for her babies. She’s such a little mama.
Thanksgiving was wonderful this year. We spent it with family and friends, but missed all those individuals who couldn’t be there with us! It was another successful year with the turkey, but my sweet potatoes were…”interesting” to say the least. Hahah. Maybe next year….???

After the agonizing and yet exhilarating process of waiting, we finally found out today that we are having a little BOY!!! The Ritz name will go on!!! We are both so excited. One of each!!!!! We couldn’t be happier!!!
When the ultrasound tech said “It’s a boy”, tears of joy began to surface just like when we found out Hannah was a girl. The experience never gets old…there is nothing like it!!!! I’m in love all over again. It of course wouldn’t have mattered either way…pink or blue…but I love that feeling of knowing in that moment that I just witnessed another miracle. What a special gift! Thank you Lord.
On a less mushy note…Doctor said the baby looks great and that he is growing and developing beautifully. He was very photogenic during his photo shoot waving and wiggling around like a true boy!!! It was like he knew we were watching him and he was saying “Hi look at me”! We even got to see him “smile” a few times.
So that is the latest and greatest of the Ritz news!!!!
Here are a couple pics of the 3D ultrasound…sorry they are blurry! I had to take a picture of a picture since I couldn’t figure my scanner out. I can’t believe how much he looks like Hannah in her 3D ultrasound. Their hands were even in the same place up by their face.

On Saturday Hannah’s face had a little visit with the paved stairs on the deck outside. Poor baby. Daddy was there…he just wasn’t fast enough! And so these are the beginning of many toddler mishaps….

So most of you already know that 4 days before Hannah’s 1st birthday we found out that we are expecting our next addition to the family! I surprised Patrick by putting an “I’m the Big Sister” shirt on Hannah. Very fun! Although… I think he could tell by the huge grin on my face I was pregnant before I even told him. (He’s been through this before…hahah).
Anyways, I know what you all are thinking, ” they will be 20 months apart”! It sounds crazy, but yes we planned it this way!

As of yesterday 8/20, we had our first ultrasound and the doctor said everything looks wonderful! Yay!!!! It’s always a relief to hear that. Heart Beat was a strong 161 and it looks from the size of the baby that the due date will be April 4, 2010. I’m looking forward to having a spring baby and not being so painfully huge during the summer this time!!
We feel so blessed to get to experience this wonderful miracle of life again! Please keep us, and our quickly growing peanut in your prayers!
My oh my….these girls are growing fast!! Samantha & Hannah have had fun this week spending some time together. It’s fun having them actually play together now.

Morning bottles. Sleepy girls!

Playing with the dust pan and broom.

Racing!
