This morning, as I was drinking my cup of coffee, for some reason it hit me: I love Colorado.
Then I realized one reason why. Last night it started snowing at around 8pm. Then when I woke up this morning it had stopped and it was sunny. Once more, by the end of the day the snow will probably be all gone.
While Kurt was visiting last week, we went down to Colorado Springs to see the Garden of the Gods & drive up Pikes Peak. If you haven’t done Pikes Peak, and it’s a clear day outside, do it! The views are amazing! We posted a bunch of our photos to our photo gallery. Check it out by clicking here.
Here’s a teaser: (Hannah looking through a telescope up at Pikes Peak)
Before fall, I built some planter boxes for the backyard, hoping to grow some fresh veggies. Well, last week I began our garden journey and planted some seeds inside to get a head start on the growing season. Imagine our excitement, when after a few days the lettuce had already sprouted and now the cucumbers are right behind. Hopefully in about 2 months we’ll be eating some home-grown food!
