So I (Patrick) have already made 2 mistakes since bringing home baby. First, I wrote a post here and spelled her name wrong. Whoops! I wrote Hanna instead of Hannah. Second, on the video below I put her birthday as July 27th, 2007. I guess she’s been around for so long already it just seems like 2007 still. All is fixed now. Hopefully I won’t make any more mistakes like that. BUT if that’s all I do wrong, I can’t complain too much.
Here’s to Hannah & 7/27/2008, Ciao!
We put Hannah on a South Beach all-liquid diet because of her weight. She’s already lost about a 1/2 pound. Go girl!!
Just kidding, there’s no diet. But like all babies she lost a bit of weight since birth. She’s still as healthy as can be.
We just wanted to say thank you to everyone who called, sent text messages, sat waiting through the delivery, and left comments on the blogs. They all meant so much, and we all feel very loved & supported. We have amazing family and friends.
From all (three) of us to you: THANK YOU MUCH!!
So we’ve settled on a name: Hannah Jewel. She came out at about 4pm yesterday and weighs a whooping 9 pounds!! Big baby
The cool thing is is that she is already about a month ahead of normal. Not only for her weight (haha) but she is already sort of holding her head up, etc. She’s even crawling already. No she’s not really crawling but I wanted to see if y’all were still following along. Anyways, she and Sarah are doing extremely well and we should be going home tomorrow afternoon from the hospital.
To keep some of you on your toes we’re making a video of the whole experience (kind of) and it should be ready in the next few days. I’ll write a post on here to let everyone know where to find it.
Along with all of that, here are a couple more pictures. We’re not sure if this is right baby because she kinda of looks Asian
Enjoy!

After a long push… baby has arrived! More details to come!

Sarah and baby are moving right along. She’s dilated at 10cm, so it shouldn’t been too much longer now. Pretty soon we’ll be three.

Nothing more to report on except we have friends and family showing up now. It’s really nice to have people come down to the hospital and support us, and the baby isn’t even here yet!
Right now, Sarah is napping and getting some energy for pushing later on today. Good times.
At about 4:30am we left for the hospital. Currently Sarah is being a trooper and everything is going well. She was so calm she even wanted room service. The contractions were painful but since the epidural she is basically saying “this is so much better, that was a great decision.” More to come…

So yesterday came and yet. It baby’s due date and it seems like she wanted to incubate a little longer. Bummer. But, for the last hour Sarah’s had the 5-1-1 rule; contractions every 5 minutes, for 1 minute long, for 1 hour. They’ve been minor, so we’re not sure if it’s labor or not. We called the doctor and are waiting ’till he calls back to let us know what he thinks we should do. Until then, still no baby…yet.
